The "In Laisen" industrial district in the centre of Reutlingen seemed like a foreign body in the urban fabric of the city. It is to be transformed into an innovative industrial estate to be more strongly integrated into the urban fabric. This upgrade is planned through the introduction of open spaces and the renovation of existing streetscapes. New connections and links via open space axes and pathways will create a connection with the neighbouring urban areas. The innovative character of the district creates a strong impulse effect on the entire area.
